Storage. The tea can be left covered at room temperature for up to 8 hours. Alternatively, after being left to cool completely, it can be stored in a glass airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Freeze the tea in 1 cup servings so you only have to defrost the desired amount of cups each time. Don’t fill the jar right to the top, allow a 1-2 inch gap at the top to allow the tea to expand as it freezes. Label each container with the name and date frozen so you know when to drink it by.
To drink - transfer the jar to the fridge overnight or for at least 12 hours or leave at room temperature for at least 2 hours until thawed completely. It can be then be reheated in a small saucepan on a low heat until warmed through and the desired temperature is reached.
